“We Sing for the Trees” All are Welcome No Audition Required
Adventure Kids Choir brings 7-17 yr olds together to use their voices to inspire change with regard to climate and nature preservation.
We have an exciting 2019-2020 season in the works and we want YOU to join us.
Megan Helm started the choir on behalf of the Fairlee Arts Council's collaboration with the acclaimed professional ensemble, Counterpoint. Their outreach concert, Six Degrees, examined the global impact of a climate six degrees warmer that today.
The concert was well received they even received a standing ovation!
Our Adventure Kids Choir goal is to reach out to audiences in natural spaces. National Parks, State Parks, the Appalachian Trail and the Connecticut River are just a few places our voices will ring. Whether we are singing on stage or in canoes, we hope our voices resonate with people who aren't inclined to attend a children's choir performance. We hope to bring about positive discussions and effect change.
The camp at Seven Stars will be a place where we can learn some great music, play fun games, talk to interesting adults working in the field of conservation, and begin to develop as a community of singers ready to take the world by storm. Students from the camp interested in continuing their spot in the choir for the 2019-20 season will have a guaranteed spot with the group. For questions: Call 802-369-5631 or email email@example.com
