Playing together in small groups is one of the most enjoyable ways to experience music. Come, let's make music together!

  • Beginning Recorder for Adults

    ~

    No Beginner classes are Scheduled at this Time

     

    Have you always wanted to play a musical instrument but thought it might be too late? Well, it’s never too late! The recorder is the perfect instrument for you.  Incredibly fun to play with others while learning basic music skills this class is for students with no previous experience. We’ll play music from the Medieval and Renaissance periods all the way up to the present. Depending on the interest of the group, students can have the opportunity to learn to read music.

  • Low Intermediate Recorder for Adults

    ~ Tues 5:30-6:30pm

    Weekly Sessions. The Cost is $15 per person.

     

    This class is designed for those who have already taken the Beginning Recorder Ensemble class. Reading music and playing either Soprano or Alto recorder is required with basic knowledge of recorder fingerings. We’ll play repertoire from the Medieval period to the present, including Traditional music, develop more technique and learn more ensemble skills.

  • Intermediate Recorder for Adults

    ~  Tues 7:00-8:30

    Weekly Sessions. The Cost is $25 per person.

     

    For those who play all the recorders, SATB as well as reading alto up, we'll explore more difficult repertoire including instrumental fantasias, Baroque settings for recorder ensemble, as well as contemporary arrangements.

  • Early Mixed Ensemble Study Group

    ~ Tues 2:30-4:00pm

    Weekly Sessions. The Cost is $25 per person.

     

    A Mixed ensemble will come together to play/sing through monuments of the Renaissance era. Instruments may include recorders, viola da gamba, harp, lute/guitar, voices, harpsichord, early reeds, and sackbut.

SCHOLARSHIPS AVAILABLE

Students with financial need can apply for scholarship for partial tuition for lessons or classes.  The process is confidential.
