Dear Friends of Seven Stars Arts Center,
Jim Rooney has been living and breathing music for many years!
With his deep connections in the music world, local and far, he has brought fabulous musicians to the Seven Stars stage
with the McCaffrey & Rooney Present series. We’d like to share his words with you here.
“As COVID receded Colin McCaffery and I turned to the 7 Stars Arts Center to host a series of concerts that would bring people back out of their homes and into a shared communal space. It has succeeded beyond our hopes in bringing the people of Sharon and the surrounding towns together for joyous and uplifting musical experiences. Four years later we find ourselves again in uncertain and troubling times. Having 7 Stars available not only for concerts, but for music lessons and workshops of all sorts is an invaluable asset to our community. It is run professionally by dedicated and hard-working, unpaid volunteers, but there is a building to maintain and bills to pay, so I hope you will join me in contributing to the financial well-being of 7 Stars, so we can continue to come together in the shelter it provides and find joy, strength and courage in community”.
Seven Stars Arts Center is a 501(c)(3) community-based arts center in a historic former church and grange hall in Sharon, VT. Our mission is to nurture a love and understanding of the arts by providing diverse educational opportunities and performances.
