St Patrick's Day with Jim Rooney, Colin McCaffrey, Geordie Lynd and Footworks!! Friday, March 17th
Colin and Jim welcome Geordie Lynd and Footworks to the Seven Stars stage.
Geordie Lynd plays Irish music on the fiddle in a style influenced by recordings of the Clare masters and by the uileann piping tradition. He and his family have a small dairy farm in South Walden, Vermont.
Inspired by the high-energy Gaelic music of Cape Breton Island, Footworks is a Vermont-based instrumental band. With Jacob Brillhart on fiddle, Jon Brillhart on whistle, and Tory Heft on guitar, Footworks provides a rich and balanced sound that is bound to get your feet tapping and your hands clapping.
Colin McCaffrey, Vermont producer and award- winning songwriter has become a regional “one-stop-shop” for high quality audio production, as well as heading up long time Vermont favorite band The Stone Cold Roosters and winning various song competitions including the prestigious Chris Austin Songwriting Contest.
Grammy winning producer Jim Rooney is best known for his work with Nanci Griffith, John Prine, Iris DeMent, and Hal Ketchum, to name a few. For over 50 years Jim partnered with the legendary banjo player Bill Keith, recording several landmark recordings together.
