Vermont Residents to Share Housing Wins and Lessons
in New Speaker Series
Green Mountain Economic Development Corporation (GMEDC) and HELM Construction Solutions are proud to announce a dynamic new 3-part Housing Solutions Speaker Series designed to empower Vermont residents to take charge of their housing futures.
It’s no secret that Vermont needs more housing, but did you know we need approximately 41,000 new units across the state by 2030 according to a report by Vermont’s
Department of Housing and Community Development?
To address the housing crisis, Vermonters of all backgrounds will need to come together
and get creative to make more housing happen.
This engaging series will bring together community members from across the White River Valley
and Vermont to share real stories of housing victories—and defeats—and explore practical
strategies for navigating the complex world of housing creation.
From securing funding to building the right team and thinking outside the box,
each session will offer actionable insights for everyday people looking to get involved
with housing development.
“This series is about demystifying the housing process,” said James Coleman,
Program Manager at GMEDC.
“We want people to walk away feeling inspired and equipped to take the next step
in their housing creation journey.”
Whether you're a first-time homebuilder, a seasoned developer, or simply curious about
what’s possible, this series offers a unique opportunity to learn from your neighbors and
connect with local resources.
Funded by Vermont's Working Communities Challenge.
