​Tuesdays 2:30-3:30 pm Mixed Ensemble

For experienced players, both recorder, viola da gamba and harpsichord. We’ll explore the Baroque repertoire including trio sonatas as well rhythmically challenging pieces from the 15th century. 
$25 per person for up to 3 participants
$20 per person for 4 participants or more

Tuesdays  7:00-8:30 pm
High Intermediate/ Advanced Recorder Ensemble


For those who play all the recorders, SATB as well as reading alto up, we'll delve into more difficult repertoire including instrumental fantasias, Baroque settings for recorder ensemble, as well as contemporary arrangements.
$25 per person for up to 3 participants
$20 per person for 4 participants or more

Tuesdays of Thursdays 5:30-6:30 Intermediate Recorder Ensemble (check with Chris for updates)

For anyone who already knows how to read music and plays either soprano, alto, tenor or bass recorder. We'll play music of the Renaissance, of Cathedral, Court and Country, including dances, sacred and secular music of the time.
$20 per person for up to 3 participants
$15 per person for 4 participants or more

Chris performs on a wide range of instruments including recorders, oboe, flute, bagpipe, Renaissance reeds, percussion and as a vocalist. Having completed a 10 year tour with Cirque du Soleil she now makes her home in the Upper Valley.
 
She has performed with such ensembles as the Quadrivium, the Utah Shakespeare Festival, Libana, the Christmas Revels, Early Music New York, Piffaro, Ex Umbris and presently with Jubal’s Lyre.
 
Chris has taught at numerous Early Music and Dance workshops including Pinewoods, World Fellowship, Westminster Choir College and for the American Recorder Society. At present she teaches lessons and coaches ensembles at Seven Stars Arts in Sharon, the Upper Valley Music Center in Lebanon and at her home in Royalton.
 
Making music is a very personal experience! In my teaching it is very important to create a fun and supportive environment for learning.

We are  located off Hwy 89 at Exit 2. Turn west onto Rte 132 toward Sharon/South Royalton, then turn right onto Rte 14.        GET DIRECTIONS

Seven Stars is the tall white building with the bright yellow doors, a short ways up on the right. 
​
The building is accessible to wheel chairs. 
Park in the back and enter through the lower level. ​
