Seven Stars Arts Center has a modest scholarship program to support people who cannot afford to pay the full price of classes or lessons. The funds are available thanks to individual donations and the proceeds from the sale of snacks at concerts. We are deeply grateful for a generous donation from BALE (Building a Local Economy). www.balevt.org/ (Anyone can easily earmark a donation for scholarships - - just let us know.)
SSAC awards partial scholarships based upon need, teacher evaluation, availability of scholarship funds, and applicant's payment history (if any). SSAC is offering scholarships for up to 50% of the cost of class tuition. If additional funding is available and needed for a student due to extenuating circumstances, the teacher may submit an explanation for the board to consider.Recipients of scholarship awards are expected to attend at least 80% of the classes or lessons in which they are registered. Applicants must submit a new application for each term.
Teachers, parents, or the students themselves may apply to the board, presenting evidence of the student’s promise in the endeavor as well as their financial need.Letters of support from parents or teachers are welcome. Scholarships may be awarded at any time during the year on a case-by-case basis and may provide up to half the cost. Seven Stars Arts Center does not discriminate on the basis of race, color, national or ethnic origin, or sexual orientation in the administration of its educational policies, admissions policies, and scholarship programs.
