Some careers can be described with a couple of words, but Shawn Camp's isn't one of them.
He is a bold and distinctive singer, a multi instrumentalist, and a brilliant songwriter.
As lead singer with the Grammy winning Bluegrass band The Earls of Leicester, Shawn was named the IBMA Male Vocalist of the Year in 2015.
He's written hit songs for such as Garth Brooks, George Strait, Brooks & Dunn and Josh Turner.
He won a Grammy for his production of Guy Clark's final album "My Favorite Picture of You."
He wrote the title song of Willie Nelson's recent Grammy winning album "A Beautiful Time."
Shawn is steeped in the traditions of Country music.
In addition to Willie Nelson he has co-written with Loretta Lynn and Merle Haggard.
He was an indispensable member of Rooney's Irregulars for 25 years.

Grammy winning producer Jim Rooney is best known for his work with Nanci Griffith, John Prine, Iris DeMent, and Hal Ketchum, to name a few. He has been involved in music ever since he first appeared on the WCOP “Hayloft Jamboree” as a teenager in Boston in 1954. For over 50 years Jim partnered with the legendary banjo player Bill Keith,
recording several landmark recordings together.
