Friday June 7th, 7:00 pm
The Sterling String Quartet invites you to their 2nd annual jazz and light music concert at the Seven Stars Arts Center. This year, the SSQ has invited Tucson colleagues Melanie Fan, Michael Fan, and Jenny Massey, who played in the Arizona SSQ back in grad school days,
at the University of Arizona in the mid-1980s.
The Sterling String Quartet has been performing in the Upper Valley since 2007. The quartet will play works by Gershwin, Ellington, Kern, Harold Arlen and other composers of the big band era, but with a string quartet twist. Elegant interpretations. Nothing raucous.
Leave the stress of today and step back into music of the '30s, '40s, and '50s when life was a little slower. This year we also include composers from Latin America.
The Sterling String Quartet: Melanie Fan, violin, Michael Fan, violin, Jenny Massey
viola and Margaret Gilmore, cello.
$20 at the door
Doors open at 6:30.
Children under 12 – free admittance.
